Hey guys I have a 2015 3500 cc auto tradesman. Every once in awhile I smell something that smells like rubber burning. When I go to shut it down. I have right around 3100 miles on it second time I noticed the smell. Anyone know what it is. Regen maybe? No codes popped?

 

Belt slipping maybe? AC or other pulley seizing?

 

Maybe a really good takeoff that baked the tires...please include video.

 

Lol. I'm thinking it regen. My mileage goes up every after everytime I smell it

Smells like burnt rubber? That's interesting. I can't help but I have kind of a funny story about off smelling regens.
When I worked in North Dakota I had a 2013 powerstroke work truck. Oilfield so these trucks idled a lot. Had a young engineer in training running in the field with us and he swore that when my truck went into regen that the exhaust smelled like pancakes. Odd kid. Once he said that though, we all thought it smelled that way. We had to stop for breakfast quite often.
