turn the heater on smells like somethings burning
ok so if you turn the heater on to anything other than defrost it smells like something is just on fire it smells so bad you don't want to be in the truck and would rather drive with it off i just picked up the stuff requird to clean out the box under the dash hoping it helps is there any thing else i can do to get it to go away?
First open the glove box and remove the blower resistor that is in the airbox and see if it is burnt or has something stuck to it, it is possible to get trash stuck on it, then cut open the airbox and remove the trash, probably full of leaves.
Mine has actually sucked up paper napkins and a Target plastic bag off the floor.
Mine is also on relays.
Also your heater draws air from the cowl vent and could be sucking in the smells from the outside, I can smell the crankcase vapor when I change my oil for about a week.
