Remote satellite radio antenna ?

Love the satellite radio and listen often. Have never had it before. Problem is, the antenna is mounted to the passenger side rear of the cab which is fairly covered when my truck camper is slid on, thus blocking reception.

Options?

I've had pilot truck drivers with the same question. It is better than the center and back location it was for a year. You might get reception driving east?

I have mine on the dash on a chunk of steel same size as the antenna on the drivers side, I've had no problems and I had sat radio for about five years.

I had the same problem. I bought a magnetic antenna and stuck it on the fender right next to the am/fm antenna and ran the cable under the weatherstripping into the passenger kick panel where the satelite antenna plug-in is located on the 2010's. Works great with or without my overhead camper loaded so I just left it on.

Any aftermarket Sirius antenna should be able to plug into the radio. I know I have, several times, used the factory antenna with an aftermarket radio.

OK. So the antenna plug is standard for every radio and not specific to our radios, just to be clear?

The plastic clip part may or may not fit, but the metal part that actually transfers the signal will. A little creative blacktaping will secure it if it doesnt clip into place.

Thanks. Amazon.com has one for $9.95.

Is access to the plug easy?

There are actually two. The white connector that is visible without removing the kick panel is for the radio antenna. The yellow one behind the panel is for the sat.
