regular cab dually

hello,

have not seen much mention of 1 ton dually regular cab on this board. don't need much cab space now as kids are grown and she left me, sooooooo how about some input on this configuration. i am thinking of a 2010 6.7 with 6 speed manual shift and 3k pound camper on the back. would drive daily and over the road. do you feel this would work the 6.7 hard enough?

how about some feed back on this set up and what about the rear end, 3.73 work?

thanks,
david

If I were to buy a new truck, thats how I would have it set up. I'd probably go 3.42 gears though. If you need more rpms, you can always just drop into 5th.

Actually -- that was the subject of a review at pickuptrucks.com. I got a 2010 megacab. Let me see if I can find that review....

Here it is: http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2009/10...gular-cab.html

Cools. Hey -- One thing. You really want to consider the 3.42 rear. The final ratio of the G56 is such that you'll be spinning some serious RPM's on the highway and you have the stick anyway to control things on the log end...

In NJ the dealers are selling for invoice minus any rebates. If you order a vehicle you get the best of both worlds, guaranteed whatever rebates are in place at time of order and if there are more at time of delivery you get them also.

dam, power is indeed knowledge. thanks for the insight and i think i will order today. one last thing, would a 3k pound camper in the back work this truck hard enough, it would be my daily drive and interstate.

thanks again guys.
