Ram 2500 Shutters on Take Off

My Ram 2500 Mega Cab shutters from a take off. It is not wheel hop or anything else that can be easily seen. I put a 6" lift and track bars and it got better but the shutter is still there. If I am rolling and then take off no shutter. Shutter is also present when the truck down shifts going up a hill when power is applied. Anyone got any ideas ?

I'd personally go back to the dealer and have the PCM reflashed. Sounds like the electronic controller is hiccuping or something. My wife's Jeep Patriot did that and it was driving me crazy. Had it reflashed and now it worky real good....

By shudder, are you talking about axle wrap? Sounds exactly like what side effect a 6" lift would cause.

The PCM has already been flashed and did not help and No its not axle wrap as it was present before the lift and the lift and track bar actually made it better.

Launch shudder...

Do you have a two piece driveshaft? I had this exact problem in my 07 mega dually. Shimmed it checked angles etc. It is unfortunately normal. I did eventually cure it with a one piece driveshaft from Chrysler. Check through the earlier generation threads under launch shudder.

Cheers

I'd check the rear drive shaft. Both me and my bro had the same issue when we added a 6" lift. I fixed mine by shimming the tranny mounts to lessen the angle. He fixed his by installing a one piece drive shaft. Both of our trucks were '06's though.
