Once ordered what times are we looking at till delivery?

 

Mine was ordered 12/17/2010 and arrived at dealership on 2/9/2011

 

My was ordered on 1/6/11, at the dealer 2/25/11 the nav delayed build 1 week

12/28 order, came in on 2/19

 

One of my kids was looking at ordering a Jeep patriot with the off road package as the dealer was having trouble finding one. She had built one Monday or Tuesday and was able to choose her color, Red. At the dealer on Thursday night the dealer couldn't build a red one and didn't know why, but did manage to find a black one at a dealer in BC as there wasn't any in Alberta. Luckily they were able to get it for here and hopefully she will have it this week. On Friday she tried to build her jeep again and there was no choice of red, black or green. I had heard that effective April 1 that because of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan that the auto manufacturers weren't able to get paint pigment for some colors and they would temporarily be discontinued. I'm not sure if this will happen across the board but I can't see why not.

 

Ordered 9/2/2010. Delivered 10/21/2010.

Hand hollding is an extra charge, but the wait WILL pass - it only SEEMS like an eternity.

 

I was just playing around on the build site and I notice if you want an automatic truck you automatically get the HO engine. I also notice they are down to only 4 colors. Blue, white, red and grey.

 

I just heard from a friend of mine (Lexus dealer) about their color options being an issue because some of the paint (dyes?) being made in Japan are not available; and that they could be out of new cars on the lot almost completely by June or July. And here I am waiting on 4.10 parts to be available for build sometime next week so I can get my truck ordered, and now the color I want (silver) may not be available for who knows how long. I'm not going to settle for another color. This is my last One and Done truck so I want to get it built exactly like I want it.
