New Wheels and Tires
Well I came across a find for Alcoas and decided to do the swap to my 4th Gen. Dont know if I am the first, but it turns heads where ever I go. Rides pretty smooth not that rough at all. My set up is 6 Alcoa's with 255/70 22.5

That was taken with my camera phone. I will try to make them bigger. The truck is all stock with no lift. It rubs some of the plastic fender in tight turns, but nothing crazy. I might eventually put a leveling kit on it but thats about it.

Whats a set like that cost? and what modifications are needed for this? How much does it drop your RPMs (what gear ratio do you have) sorry for all the questions but i am just curious.

I built this set myself. 6-Alcoas all alum-$1000 6- 255/70/22.5 newtires mounted and balanced $1500, adapters-$800, and axle/lug covers $150. Total cost about $3500. You can go through American Force wheels but still looking about $5000 and you get 2 steel inners.
My truck in current form is stock 4X4 with no lift. It does rub a little against front inner plastic fenders but very slightly. I might go with 2" level up front.
I currently have 3.73 with auto. It does drop RPMs to about 1600 at 70-75 I have little less get up and go but once wheels are rolling very little pedal needed. I have actually increased MPG becasue of the dropped RPM's wish had the 4.10s but it doesnt bother me that much. Braking is affected some due to more rolling mass but just have to stop sooner or excuse to use engine brake.

I got my adapters from here. Great customer service and even Fred called me as soon as I payed. He says he calls everyone that orders from him.

The guy was orginally selling them for $700, but had to offer him $1000 to seal the deal so he wouldnt sell them to anyone else. Cheapest I was able to find was around the $225 a wheel. Hope this helps some. Tires I got from local tire shop he just charged me for tires and no mounting which was $193 a tire for new rubber.
