Love the truck so far, any suggestions on electronic gauges like the EDGE, I just want gauges I will look at a tuner later. I also want to get the AMSOIL bypass oil filter (BMK-25) anyone have one and were did you mount it.
And lastly what is the skinny on fuel in the oil adding quarts to the oil volume?

Hi,
I have the Edge Insight CTS and absolutely love it. I just added their accessory oil pressure sensor and its great. I used to have 8 analog gauges in my old truck and in this one I can monitor all of those parameters and more, but it doesn't take up all of the space. I'd say go for it.
Don't forget you can always run a tuner later like the Smarty and keep using the Insight.

As for the oil by-pass filter I had a FS-2500 on my old '06. It did the job but I haven't added anything like that so far to the new truck.

What all can you get for readings, coolant temp/transmission temp? etc. and I assume you need to tap the exhaust manifold for the EGT probe and that is extra, but do you get all the other readings from the ODBI port where you plug it in?

 

you have a digital engine temp, trans temp ect in your factory instrament cluster

I have a H&S tuner and it gets all its readings from the ODBI port. Pyro has to be drilled in the maniflord.

If you shut your your egr off your oil will stay clean
