New 6.7 owner with some questions...

Hey -

Wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself - just bought a new 6.7 for work & fun and loving it so far. It's a Deep Water Blue 2011 4x4 Crew Cab.

Thanks to Blake (and others) for great write-ups on 6.7 mods. I've pretty much decided to go with H&S' turbo back kit (here) but haven't decided about EGR or which tuner to go with. I see Edge has a new one (CTS) but doesn't seem like many on here use them. I need the DPF & EGR delete functionality. Any suggestions?

I don't have smog to worry about but do want to have the ability to return to stock in case any major warranty issues.

H&S tuners seem to be the new choice. Call them and their technical staff will answer any questions you want. Also, the EGR/Cooler delete they have is pretty good. Also look at The TV delete discussed in Blakes tutorial. I went with the recommendations of others and trust that I have made a good decision.

Your welcome bud. Youve got a pretty truck, thats for sure. I like the new deep water blue.

For the delete hardware, under the hood that is, I recommend either H&S or Shibby. Shibby makes some really really good stuff.

Exhaust wise just pick your fav.

Don't forget to go to your local auto parts store and get the cabin filter. It is a 5min install and will keep alot of trash off of the dash board.

DODGE should have done this for all of us!

Could you expand on this a little please? Is this an aftermarket part or a Dodge replacement part?

It's little pieces of knowledge like this that keep me reading all the threads. Thanks.

Do a search for "Cabin Filter". The actual filter is for a 2010 Dodge Caliber. All you have to do is remove your lower glove box by allowing it to open fully, press on each side until the catch's are released and just slide it out. You will notice that there is a pre-sketched location for you to cut out in order to place a filter directly above the fan assembly thus filtering all elements out prior to placeing the clean air into the vehicle. I got the part for AD-VANCE for 9 bucks. Took 5 minutes and no more nasty daily dust on the dash plus cleaner air for the babies to breath.

Hopefully this helps. Save my info and I will try to assist with any questions.

Also, remove your air intake tube going to the turbine and you will notice a big plastic filter assembly located directly inside. This is robbing you of power, air flow, and turbine squeel. It takes 3 minutes to do and will harm nothing. Let me know if you complete because you will be happy.

Good job brother. I had no idea about the lid part number. Thanks alot. By the way, I noticed that the air flow arrows seem to be different on the lid. I put my filter the other way. Was I wrong? Does'nt the air blow up instead of down?

Nice trucks guys, and you guys are make me jealous. Mines has been beaten on. Mine is all dented and scratched up. I have a few bald spots in the bed liner and the plastic cap has a few deep gouges in it.

As for programmer, H&S, is the only true code free, delete... I had my truck almost a year now, and the H&S has been on for most of it.
