373 or 342 i am ordering a new truck i do a little towing just for holidays ??what would be better???

I like the 373, If you drive the hiway a lot maybe the342 but towing the 373 will be much nicer to your trany.

I tow mostly less than 10k, I went with 3.42 and G56. Love it, I wish I had a 7th gear on the flat interstate sometimes.

Amen to needing another gear. I know mine would pull a .5 OD with 3.55's.

i am gettin an auto and my trailer is 10000 lbs oh ya dealing on 2011 3500 4x4 mega cab single wheel and towin rv for summer only thats all it will tow

the 68RE and 3.73 combo was great on my 08. Especially if your gonna put a larger set of tires on it.

I'd go with the 3:73. This is because you can tow heavy with them. If your going to keep the truck for a long time you never know what the future will bring.
