I had 400 miles on mine and got new tires, Michelin's too lazy to walk to the garage and see what kind but I think they were LTZ's. These are 285's wish I had gone bigger look at mine at this link. These are 2 sizes bigger and still don't fill up the fenderwell, but people still notice that they are bigger than stock.

I'm interested also, I already did a 2.5" leveling kit now I just have to decide how large a tire I can put on without them rubbing & the actual tires & wheels I want.

35" toyo mt

These are awesome tires. I have a 2-1/2" Level Kit, but do get a very small rub on front passenger frame (inside the tire) on an extreme turn (wheel turned all the way to right)

That looks great! How are the Toyos for wear? I see a bunch of folks running them. I would need to run the 295/70/17 because I do chain the front a couple time a season

The last set I got 50K out of them and still plenty to go, not sure how far they went because I sold the truck. I have 10K on these now and they seem to be doing as good as the old set.

I really liked my Toyo MT's on my 2006. Pretty quiet for an MT tire as well. I ran the 295's. They weren't cheap, but they looked and performed very well. I never got a chance to see what kind of life they would give me because I traded the truck in when they had 20K on them.

The Toyo MTs are not snow rated. FYI.
I tried them and thought they rode pretty ruff and pulled them.

I've tried BFGs AT/KO: Good tire, catch rocks, great in snow. Doesn't wear great, maybe 35-40K

I had Toyo ATs: Not nearly as good as the BFGs. So so in mud and snow. I would not get these again. Good for a general hwy tire.

currently have the Goodyear Silent Armor: these are the best tire I've used. Great in the snow for an AT type tire. So far I have over 35k miles and good for more. Great on Hwy, I would buy these again.

also, check out the new Goodyear DuraTrac: Looks like more of a cross between a Mud tire and the AT. snow rated. I will check this out for my next ride.

PS: all my tires have been size 285. I do not work for Goodyear.

I'm not sure what the snow rating means, but I ran my TOYO MT tires (with way to much tire pressure) in 13" of snow this year while hunting in Maryland. They did awesome in the snow. Tire pressure is everything in snow IMO.

yup, they are D rated. However the load rating is about 3150. I think you have to go up a size or 18 inch to get the E rated SilentArmor tire. I wish Dodge or Ram, whatever would just go to an 18 inch.

One thing about the Toyo MT, it is one great looking tire. I'm sure they do well in deep snow. The snow rating (snow flake symbol on the tire) means when the Hwy dept says "traction tires" required, a tire with this symbol qualifies. They can issue you a ticket if you don't have it. I would think this tire would be decent in deep snow (and off road), but a bit slick on a snowy hwy. Adding sipes to the tire would probably help the hwy traction when slick.

It really depends on how you use your truck. If you are off road a lot, or combo hwy and some off road.

I know about the snow flake, i do snowmobile and that is an important symbol. But even the BFG AT has the flake until you go to the 10 ply then they drop it??? Why , who knows

Tires

I am in the same boat as you, trying to decide on tires and maybe rims. but to begin with what type or brand of leveling kit are you going with? I am looking at maybe spacers or entire spring replacement, possibly Kore kit with bilstein shocks. What are other opinions?

I did a spacer kit I bought on Ebay. It fit great but I do need to put longer shocks on the front. The shocks limit teh down travel and do top out on a big bump. I will also look to insure the brake line is not compromised.
