2018 Ram 2500 Laramie Mega Cab 4x4
I just bought this brand new sexy beast and I wanted to reach out to the forum for advise for a new diesel owner. I've read the manual and scanned this forum quit a bit, so I know the normal stuff like drive it hard every now and then, change the filters when due, and all that jazz. Any other specifics I need to know about this thing or being a diesel owner? First time posting to this forum and I'm a first time diesel owner.

Protect your investment especially if you’re doing any dirt/gravel roads. Look into some 3M clear vinyl paint protection on hood/fenders and even the rockers door sills and fender lips. Rock chips show really bad in the darker colors.

Awesome Ride!

I spent over 6 hours removing the 3M clear protective film on my old 07 Z71 before I sold it. It protected the front of the hood, front fenders, and side trim but when it got old it dried out and cracked and looked like a cat had scratched the heck out of my truck, but only on those parts. After some research I found the old stuff did that. I may look into the new stuff though I heard it is much more reliable.

I spent the money and had the lower section Rhino lined as I live on a gravel road. It's well worth the money IMO. The new stuff doesn't color fade and is not rough like the bed liner.

Black Rhino Liner would look real good in that color.

I did a couple of my trucks with Line-X on rockers and door sills. Definitely another option for protection.
