buying my last CD need advise

I have been driving Dodge CDs since late 80s and am getting ready to make my last new purchase.

All my previous trucks have been std trans with hd clutches and boosted engines. Slts and Larimie models in the past.

Now with the Asin trans available I was considering going the 28M package and boosting the engine.

Will the stock trans hold 175-200 HP boost and tor at about 1150 Ft lbs with no probs without modifications or should I just go G56 and install DDSB clutch?

I am going with the Limited model and going to add what I have used or added in the past from the initial factory installation. I have one shot at a real good price and am doing it totally correct this time.

I do not want to buy and add 8-9K in extras this time. have at it with your suggestions and backup.

When I buy my last truck, it's gonna be crazy. Leave no room for future wants. That's what I would do.

I could have gotten the man tans in the Laramie Limited, it was on the dealer order sheets and available when I ordered.

Maybe they changed, I have not idea.

The manual is a slick shifting unit. Shifts darn near as easy as our old Accord. Chuck the stock dmf and consider an SBC OKHD. Replace the ATF with Amsoil MTG 75-90.

5/7 truck is in transit (Chicago IL) to me now.

Dealer told me it was the nicest highest priced 3500 they had ever ordered in 35 years in business. They have Ram GM GMC and Ford dealerships.

That's sounds like a super nice truck that you will have.

Since you have already owned a 6.7L Cummins you already know what its going to take to bump up the power on your 2016 Cummins and what will happen to any warranty.

As you have already likely discovered that the Aisin auto trans will not be able to handle a 200HP/400 ft-lbs increase and that there is very limited aftermarket support for this trans.

My recommendation is to leave your new truck stock for a long time while you research power upgrades.

I wish you well with the new truck.

I just ordered a 3500 yesterday. Mine is on the other end of the features spectrum, but I did spring for the work grade vinyl and even remote entry. I have had a 1st gen since 2001, which I will keep for daily driving to my grueling two mile round trip commute.

. How long has the process taken? I don't have any hopes of having the truck by Memorial Day.

My ordered truck has been sitting, unloaded from the rail transport car, on the ground since Thurs 5/12 10 miles from the dealer, with no delivery info into them sent yet.

Build finished 4/18
