Older trucks are still on the road, what takes them off is usually a wreck or rust. These new ones may last longer, but I have a feeling that good trucks will be going to the scrappers because of the cost of repairing all these "sub-systems".

Yeah, but once the warranty is up (if not sooner) you can always remove the said subsystems, and then you're in the same boat as the 5.9 crowd. That is if you live somewhere they don't test for emissions.

I take that back, with a deleted 6.7 you're way better off than the 5.9 guys because with the 6.7 you get a much improved auto tranny, (& with the 4th gen anyway) better interior, ride, a crew cab and (it appears) fewer front end troubles.
