2014 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel
Ram announced plans to finally build a 1/2 ton diesel

If it gets anything close to 30 mpg like the Grand Cherokee and doesn't cost a fortune, it will be worth looking at.

I have been off the forum for two years now. I blew the dust off of my name because I a seriously considering this 3.0 v6 ram. I've been in a crew cab 4x4 Ecoboost for two years and want to get back in a diesel. Got the Ecoboost to 13.6@99 but don't want to mod further. I wonder if the aftermarket will embrace this engine. If it could be tuned to 300whp then I will buy one as soon as it hits the lot.

I think most are excited over the towing / fuel economy / driveability of a 1/2 ton and not raw speed. I read the article, little surprised over the supplier for the engine especially with the v8 light duty diesel production line sitting idle in the states...........
