Whre to install Amsoil remote bypass system?

I searched various forums for a how-to on installing the bypass filters on a 2011 truck. No real good info found.

Anyone know of a step by step tutorial or have pics and description of what you did on yours?

I have Amp Research Powersteps so I am not 100% sure it will fit on the frame behind the wheel well. The steps take up lots of real estate in that area.

Do you know of any purchasable bracket for this set up? I don't have metal working materials available.

I already have the Amsoil dual remote bypass kit. I'm just trying to find a good place to put it is all.

Hmm, actually on the CR trucks you are not supposed to run that kit due to low oil pressure issues it causes. My kit is like a BMK-21 with a single filter.

BMK-21 is the kit you want, easier to in stall and no startup oil pressure issues.

Just installed a BMK21 on my 2011 Laramie. PM me and I will send you photos and a drawing of the mounting bracket I built.

Maybe you guys are confused. I already have a remote bypass and have asked what the best place to put it was.

So does anyone have a BMK25 and if so, where did you mount it?

Were trying to tell you not to install it. You will have a low oil pressure issue at startup. Folks have had major oiling issues from this kit.

We are telling you to return it in favor of a BMK-21.

You guys got my gears spinning...

I called Amsoil Tech Support and was told NOT to install the dual system. They are working up a bulletin for the newer ram trucks are are not recommending the dual system on the newer trucks.

It is throwing a no pressure code even though it has normal pressures. Something to do with the way the system read the pressure. They have tested and confirmed no pressure problem exists but the computer does not like something about it and spits out a code.

Kinda sucks that they know this but have not pulled the system down or added a disclaimer on the website. It's gonna cost me $20 in shipping just to return it.

I ordered the BMK-21 so I'll go that route now.

They are feeding you a line. The only way to have a low oil pressure code is to have less than 6 psi of pressure for more than 30 seconds.. That's NO oil!

Don't get me wrong I am an Amsoil dealer and use their stuff exclusively.. its good stuff, but they are full of BS with this dual remote issue on 3rd gens.
