Unknown error codes question

Hello,
I finished the deletes on my truck this weekend.
I did the turbo back to stock muffler delete pipe from Flo-Pro and the Sinister EGR and EGR cooler delete kits.
Before I removed or unplugged anything I installed the new program from the RACEme tuner and put it on the fuel economy setting.
I did a test drive after completion and it runs and sounds great.
Then I installed my gauge pod and an EGT and boost gauge (GLO SHIFT brand) and did another test drive to check the gauge operation.
Again the truck ran great and the gauges performed as they should.
At the end of the short test drive I had a CEL. So I plugged in my RACEme and checked for DTC and it came up with three of them.
Each of them were displayed as “Unknown code”
#1 PC001
#2 PC141
#3 PC121
Does anyone know what these mean and where is a good source for a translation of these error codes?
I used the search for any previous posts and didn’t see any specific to this topic.
Thanks for any advice you can provide for this.

edit.. I was able to clear the codes and upon a restart they did not apear again, but I have not take it on a test drive again.

I searched and didnt find any indication of code like that anywhere. What reader are you using? Can you have someone else read it? Also, as suggestion, i'd go back and check every single connection.

Hi, 123

the reader i'm using is the RACEme (basic, not the Ultra)

I do not know of anyone else that would have a reader available to me local.

When you say to check all the connections, which ones are you refering to?

Because when I did the deletes I unplugged a bunch of wiring for the sensors etc.. but nothing I installed involved any new wiring connections.
Since the codes cleared I think I will just drive it and see how it runs.
Should not be any harm in that right?

thanks for helping out!

I'm not familiar with how the Raceme is connected. I was thinking along the lines of what you added which is the tuner. Check it's connections. Any local auto parts store usually reads codes for free.

I took the truck for a 400+ mile round trip last weekend.

No codes and the truck run very well with no issues.

I have not refilled with fuel yet to do a mileage calc.

But it does not appear to have been an increase in fuel economy according to the display.

But overall I am very happy with the results so far.

thanks for all the input here.

With the deletes and the tuner, can you tell a big difference in performance and are you happy with the sound? Overall, was it worth the $$$ you spent?

Hi 123,
Yes, I am happy with the results, the turbo no longer has any lag to spool up and it just feels like it is more responsive when you mash the go pedal.
I have the programmer set on economy and have not tried any of the hotter settings for more power. I may get curious at some point and play around with that.
I won’t really know about any fuel economy gains until I put some more miles on it. The short trip I drove last week wasn’t a good indicator, because I was empty one direction and towing a boat & trailer on the way home.
I like that when you open the hood you can actually see an engine and not all that extra bull&*$%.
Also, I anticipate that after a couple of oil & filter changes my oil might actually change from midnight black to what you should normally expect from a 20k mile engine. The only time I have seen clean oil on the dipstick was the day I picked it up new at the dealer. After that all I have seen is tar black, and I am good about regular scheduled servicing.
So overall I am happy with the results. Also it sounds way better, not loud but you can tell it means business!
Thanks again for the reply’s.
Waryak

Talking about oil and filter changes, we use an Amsoil diesel 5W40 100% synthetic oil with their EA080 an extended service filter, we change yearly and the oil is as clean after a years service as when it went in. Amsoil says the service life of the oil can be extended with oil analysis but we just change it out.
