Mine did the dame thing.... From what I gathered from reading thorugh the forums, it is just valve noise and its perfectly normal on a deleted truck....

Since I deleted mine, it has sounded like I have an exhaust leak, but i gueee that is normal too...

Check the rear blanking plate hold down studs. When we did the G56 truck my son tightened them down but one of the studs wasn't in far enough and the nut was thread bound, it was very close but the plate lifted on one side when underpressure. All it took was a washer and it was good to go.

If you remove the plate you will clearly see if it has been leaking.

I also had a problem with that rear plate. Thought it was down but there was this screeching noise from the Ebrake and I was told to look for an exhaust leak around the turbo. When we got back under the hood, I could see soot all around the plate. A lock washer and a flat washer made it thight and all is good!

rear plate

when you take the intercooler off ,you have too plug the hole with a plate. on the engine at the rear fire wall

That should be the EGR cooler, not intercooler. The one that covers the exhaust manifold hole closest to the tranny end.

Funny enough, im getting something similar now. Almost like a pop off valve at around 30 psi of boost.

First thing I check was the plates. No dice. No leaks.

Been trying to hunt it up for a while. Seems to be on the exhaust side of things, but just cant pin point it.

Not really concerned with it though. As the head is gonna be off the thing in a couple of weeks anyway.

Good info to pass along though.
