Spacers for DRW question
Spacers for DRW question
Alright..I first posted this question in the Offroad/4x4 forum but got no help there. Figured I'd try here.
I want to take my new dually out on the beach but after I bought my truck I was told Dually's were not good in the sand mainly because when I would "air-down" the tires the rears will touch and debree and sand will get pinched between them causing damage to the side walls.
Now I was told Duallys use spacers between the rears to prevent this from happening. I've found posts from guys using spacers for extra clearance when installing larger/wider tires generally for on the road use but nothing for off road.
So does anyone use spacers for beach driving or do you just have any knowledge on that could help. I'm really looking forward to getting out on the south shore of Long Island for some serious "surf casting"!
