Looking for a little info

I'm on the fence for ordering a new Mega cab dually with a manual transmission. Is there any tuners out there available? I'm finding nothing

I have also been looking for a dyno graph to see the tq curve of the manual. All I can find is the auto's

Also, anyone know how much hp and tq the automatic looses compared to the manual?

The manual loses compared to an auto.

Manual G56 350/660
Auto 68RFE 370/800
Auto AS69RC 385/850 (3500 only)

The torque curves are very flat from 1400-2800.

Tuners are yet to hit the market (or if they have I haven't seen them), but with warranty and EPA concerns (and the available 850 ft/lbs) they will take a while to hit the street.

I have a lot of reasons why I don't want another Ram with a auto. I will go buy another Ford first. And for 2700 for a exrta 50 pounds of tq, I would rather void my warranty on a truck with a manual
I wish a guy could just take a old H&S copy the engine file on a 850 tq motor and download it into a 660 motor. Emission legal and 850 tq in front of a manual, I could live with that!!

After riding in a 13 with a manual transmission I was impressed.
I know the tq curve is not flat on the 800 tq motor. Where I am thinking the 660 tq motor is flat, or atleast it feels that way.

The 13 manual has the first torque bump since 2005.

The 13 800 motor is nearly flat, unlike the 11.5-12 800 motor, the added 20hp+ at 2800 makes it flat.

I'd take a Cummins/Aisin combo any day over a Ford 2-3 year motor.

The Aisin's are holding up great, been in the C&C since 2007 with no complaints. The 68RFE isn't a slouch either, at stock power levels. Dodge has come a long ways since the 48RE.

Good to know that the tq curve of the 2012 motors are gone!! It was sad that my Ford with 3.54 gears out pulled my Ram with 4.10's

I have never had transmission problems with the 2 68RFE trucks that I have owned. I just hate the way they shift and the power they waste.

I test drove a new truck with the Aisin transmission, If they had a manual mode they might actually have something...But they didn't
All you have to do is drive a 11 or newer superduty and you will quickly realize how superior that transmission is. I'm not saying the Ford is a better truck, it isn't but the transmission they got right!!

The Ford uses lower gearing in the trans, so 3.54 aren't used but the overall ratios are much lower than a Dodge with 3.42's, and if my memory serves even 3.73's.

I thought the Aisin had the ± on the column too?

It does... I found it last week, when I was messing with mine... Maybe I shouldn't say found it, but I could shift with it..

The Asian trans does have the + - button. Buuuut tell me what good is it if it doesn't shift when you hit the button?? Could just as well not be there.

The ford has a much lower 1st and 2nd gear which for me makes it such a great transmission. No joke I can pull a heavy load off of a field in first gear high range. And on my ran it wont roll until it hits 2700 RPM The Ford will do it at less then 1000. I would also like to point out my Ram has 4.10's
That is 1/2 the reason why I want to go to a manual trans

Maybe I'm just old fashioned but trucks are meant to have the pedals. I don't think you really know how your truck drives unless you row your own.
