Extreme heavy duty front bumpers
I used to do telephone switching work in rural farming areas. Almost all night work. Driving the backroads in the middle of the night your encouter a lot of deer. I didn't have to hit them all I guess but I will not swerve or slam on the brakes for wildlife.
I too used to travel the back roads in the night and have met a lot of wild life up close. Some years back on a cold snowy night around 4:30AM I was on my way home, I had the lights on low beam because of the snow, all of a sudden there was something in the middle of the narrow road. I somehow managed to stop and to my horror it was a young girl and guy under a snow covered blanket that I had almost hit. They had driven down the road to make out and got stuck. They decided to walk as there had been no traffic at all and didn't expect to see any. I gave them a ride home as the wind chills were too high to mess around trying to get their car out. I have come across others stuck in the ditch on that road and some have said they had been there for hours and not seen anyone, I know driving that stretch I never used to see anyone.

I like this, backwoods needs to make something like this.

NJTman said it right. I have a good buddy that put on some sort of real HD bumper to bowl the deer off the road when he finally hit one at 65 MPH it went straight to the frame did not hurt the bumper much but was over $7500 to fix the frame.
I have smoked deer well over 65 MPH when I had my 2006 with a FabFours bumper. Never hurt the truck and made hamburger out of the deer.
Another great looking bumper is the TDK (throttle Down Kustoms)
I installed a FabFours on my 2006 as the winters in remote Northern North Dakota can be very harsh. And such an isolated area at night, there is almost no traffic on nasty nights in some areas. No way I was gonna be stranded after hitting wildlife.

The wife said I could order a bumper for fathers day. Have not decided on which one I really like..I would have to get it painted. Does anyone know about what that would run? Does weight come to mind when running an aftermarket bumper? Has anyone heard if backwoods has the 4th gen up and running?

If they are made out of schedule 40, you could go to the local hardware store and get a few lengths of pipe and PVC cement and do it yourself a lot cheaper.

I'd hate to have your luck anyway. Your bumper sounds like it was a good investment.
