DPF Deleting in 2014 for Dummies
DPF Deleting in 2014 for Dummies
I have read endless threads about the EPA and HS and Edge and Ebay and etc etc and My head now hurts because I don't understand what my options are as an owner of a:
2012 2500 Cummins
Now in March 2014
If I want to do a DPF Delete today and manage codes etc via some tuner ... what options are still available to me ... Are HS, Smarty, Raceme ... any of the above ... a solution ?
What is the reality ... assuming of course that I am a complete Dummy ?

No dummy. They are getting hard to find or obtain. Best bet is to find the RaceME. It will probably be the easiest to get.

Sorry, I don't have a definitive answer for that. I know with the unit that I bought, it has the high sulphur software in it, but at the same time, it had delete software. Best bet, call a shop/distributor, and ask. Best of luck.
no deletes for 2013 or 2014 yet. ECM is locked.
I unlocked my ECM and ran the bully dog setup for a few months. they don't support deletes though. decent power very stock like in all ways with more power
Edge sent me a juice to beta test that is what I am running now. Level 6 with the juice timing is the best power you can find right now. It pull hard.
RACE ME says they have a software solution but the truck randomly is dying on them and they have notfigured it all out.
H&S has been quiet but I have not contatacted them direclty.

I am in NO way bashing the box tuning but be careful on all of the trucks no matter the year. my mcc tuner is running 750hp to the ground with stock head bolts and 50psi of boost and is NOT nice on it with his truck. oem box tuning is one of the major causes for HG failure.
Forgive my ignorance..... I've looked into getting one of the older H&S tuners for my 2012, but a lot of the ones I find are $$$$ expensive.... $1600 - $2000.
There is no way I can afford that....
Now I'm considering getting one of the New USA Tuners that H&S is selling, I'm pretty sure they don't support the deletes, but will they still help with mileage?
Thanks

It's possible it could help a smidge as they are providing a better tune over factory. It will probably not be anywhere near the mileage a deleted truck will get, unfortunately.
