Had not been into the 2010-newer air box yet so took it apart and found it had about a 7"x6" or SMALLER hold for air and that was IT. well the hole saw got a work out to say the least. LET IT BREATH

Lastly, I had ordered the parts to do the cabin air filter mod. That was about a 15 minute job.

I have a steering brace for it in the house (who else but a single guy can have truck parts in the dining room ). so that is going to be the next project..

Also have a 90ish gallon fuel tank for the bed. Laid under the truck for a while looking at the new parts (still purty clean) and making a plan of attack for the fuel tank plumbing. Will be taking pics of everything as I do them. Getting the itch to lift it. Was going to go just with a leveling kit & 35's but now a 4" and 35's are looking better and better. that is still up in the air right now.

Nice! Great work! How did the intake change affect the sound? More whistle?

Dam I seem to see something I know nothing about everytime I'm on here.

In the first few pics you mention Ravelco, what is that and what does it do?

Thanks,
Will-

Let us know if the steering brace makes a difference. I'd be interested in that. Thanks.

Never heard of this company before. Now I know why. No one in MO sells or installs them.

steering brace is a good thing. eliminates sector shaft movement. Will post up pics when I get it installed. Worked on the 85 gallon fuel tank today. prepped the aluminum and herculinered it. letting the top side dry now and will flip it over to do the bottom side. have pics and will post monday night.

my aux tank that I scored (i can hear madhat already)

Got it from a truck we had in the shop that was traded in. dude had it plumbed into the factory tank with the same size diameter hose as the filler. he had is OEM filler removed and filled from top tank. I aint gonna do that so having a plug machined and drilled for 1/2" pipe and the layout will be a surprise when completed. this is a pic of the tank prepped as I am doing a bed liner over it to match the bed. the aluminum boxes that the tank is setting on were welded to the top of the tank. They are lockable storage boxes. going to liner them and mount in the right and left rear corners of the bed. Will post pics of the tank when liner is completed. I am using the herculiner material and prepped the you know what out of it with a wire cup on my new dewalt grinder, then a bath in laquer thinner to super clean, then a blast of air from the compressor and another thinner bath. then a hefty coat of herculiner.

Nice work on the ride.

Instead of the multi holed box, MDKRam and I had snorkels built out of 4" Vacuum truck hose and aluminum flanges to the bottom of the air box. They reach down to just in front of the passenger tire. Not sure if the 10/11 trucks could benefit from the same system or not.
