Are these a good piece? I have a good customer at my shop with a duramax, and his edge took a crap, and He asked me what I would put on a truck, and since mine is an ol 12 valve square truck, I have never dealt with these chips/tunners.

I read up on a few, and like this one the best. Again He is a GREAT customer, and I consider him a friend, and I dont want to screw him over. I did tell him any of these tunners will amplify, and find any failing or ailing sensors, or parts, so I did warn him I guess.

They are a good product for an old man that tows a lot and doesn't really want a lot of power, that is pretty much the market Banks is catering too.

There are better products out there that can be had and usually for less money if he is looking for performance instead...

What happened to his Edge? They are usually really good at Customer Service and may be able to fix his problem.

 

Well his edge let the smoke out, dont know what exactly, but it discolored the case, and smells like burned electronics, we unplugged it and all 15 codes went away, and his running issue went away also.

 

The Banks is good for "safe" power, expensive, but safe. If you want BIG giggles, you need to get the PPE tuner. Its the equivalent to our Smarty tuner.

 

I second the PPE tuner. There is a lot of versatility there.

I am not fond of PPE themselves though.
