4th Gen Dually with Leveling kits
Guys,
I'm contemplating on going with a leveling kit on my new dually. I just can’t stand the front end so low. I will be going with some type of airbag system later to level the rear when I pull a 5th wheel. I had one on my 06 Mega Cab.
Trying to decide on 1.5”, 2.0” and what brand??
Thanks
PS, post some pics. If you have them.

I am currently running a 2" Hell Bent Steel leveling kit on my 2010. Price is right and good quality. I should have went with the 2.5" to full level the truck, but the 2" shows a little dive I think.
I was looking at a Ready Lift 2" with steel. What did the HBS run you?
Thanks for the response.
Once you get her done, post a few pics on the 4th Gen Lifted Dually pics

What size tires are you running with the 2' leveling kit and did you have to add a spacer on the rear? My local shop mentioned Steel kits produced excessive noise and I should look at Daystar, any experience with that leveling kit?
There should be no difference in noise. You still keep the rubber isolators on top of the coils. I would recommend spending a few minutes with a jack and a tape measure on level ground. Most folks find that 2" is about right, but you may prefer 1" or 3". They have pretty much any size from 1" to 4" in 1/2" increments. Make sure you measure the height change in the middle of the fender (in line with the coil spring perches), because that's where the height is added. Hell Bent Steel (HBS) is a popular choice, and it's what I have, but they all seem to be about the same. Longer shocks aren't necessary with just a 2" kit, but if you truly want to do it "right" (which is always a matter of opinion!), then longer shocks and extended spay bar links and an adjustable track bar would be nice, as would longer lower control arms! But that's a pretty expensive leveling kit once you do all that!
