Ram Active Air

Popular mechanics has a snippet about the new Ram HD. Two radiators, two trans coolers, and "ram Active Air", a box with two flappers that flip open and closed to pull air from the fender or from behind the grill. They say that under heavy load it will pull the cooler air from behind the grill and flip back to the fender once the load is off and it's cooled off some. And if you try to modify it to always pull cold air it can set a permanent code in the computer and void the warranty.

OK, so what is your point? Putting a programmer on and deleting the emission equipment will also void the warranty. This is the automaker right to decide what will and will not void a warranty.

I decided back in 09 that I would be my own warranty station; so to me this is no issues.

Considering that the latest flashes disable tuners as well, and my experience with dealers in general, I don't want one anyhow.

So is one Rad is for engine cooling and the other is for EGR cooling? smart if so. Thinking of this possibility of this in my 2012 3500.
