If your dealer has an issue with a filters made by Cummins Filtration then Id have a problem with them.....

No one in there right mind would take issue with a secondary filtration system that utilizes components made by the OEM Engine Supplier.

Yea I see what your saying, I never really dealt with a new truck dealer, well not since my 12 valve was new. I did buy a new vw TDI and if I even looked at the car the wrong way they didnt want to honor warrenty work.

Im sure you will find a pain in the a** dealer that would try to fight you, but I agree anyone in their right mind would see its only helping the motor.

BTW im lookin to buy a '11 dually but cant decide on auto or stick, if its an auto im going with the longhorn laramie, and a stick just the laramie since longhorn isnt offered with it. I know you have the 6speed standard, how do you like it? When I test drove the two trucks, I felt like the exhaust brake was more effective when you could row down through the gears...but just my opinion

My 08 was my first auto Cummins, and while I did like it, rowing em yourself is one of those small pleasures that puts you and the truck in tune in a way that no auto can.....

Id never go back to a slush box

From Glacier Diesel's site:
"Bosch recommends it, your Common Rail fuel system demands it. The Micro-Kleen System delivers and now we've made it even better!

With the introduction of the 6.7L Cummins we're seeing the highest injection rail pressures to date. Clean fuel has never been more important than right now! The MK-2+ System adds a high efficiency Fleetguard 2 micron filter between the stock fuel filter and your expensive injectors and injection pump"

I read in one of the truck magazines a couple years ago, a Cummins engineer said that if you took the plunger out of a new injector, and put a stripe around it with a dry erase marker, it would not fit back into the bore, clearances are so tight today.

I wonder if some 2-stroke oil in the fuel would help injector life in these like it does the injection pump in the 1st-gen.

I must be one of the few guys to hate the new 4th gen fuel filter design. Going from a 2nd 24VP truck to the 4th gen, the fuel filter housing has to much flismy plastic on it for me. I have to change out the oring on every fuel filter change out. Didn't really do that on my 02 truck, felt guilty and did one or two orings just to see what I was missing. I going to see if I can swap in an older truck fuel filter housing, as these stock replacement filters aren't cheap. The filtering quality isn't any better than the older trucks either.
