No air stem extensions on 17 DRW???

My new DRW does not have extended valve stems from the inner wheels. The dealer says there is no part number and suggests I search for a valve extension.
My local tire guys say they have to remove the outside tire to check the air pressure or add air.

I feel like I'm on the moon...is this possible? The computer indicates one inner tire is low...I can drive to the dealer to get it done, or take off the outside tire to add air (my local tire guys aren't going to be doing this for free...)

Has anybody else encountered this?

I've never seen dual-wheeled pickup trucks come from the factory with valve extensions, unless they have just started recently. Generally, you just purchase them in the aftermarket and put them on.

Could anyone recommend what extensions you use?
I see some are angled, some straight. There are also rubber grommets to stabilize the extender.
I'm interested in what is working for you.
I want to purchase them before I get the wheels off,so I"m not sure what is the best fit
thanks

I just took mine off I had a stem failure due to them. I just pay attention to where the wheel holes and covers are clocked and have never had any issue getting to them.

That was my concern which I expressed to the dealer about add on extensions. We're you using one of those rubber grommets to stabilize the extension? I'll try having the dealer line them up.

Thanks for the replies

The best you can get are from a guy in calif. called Tire man. Makes a great product, but a little pricey. You can get to both inner & outer really easy with his product. Google Tire man valve stems and check it out.

If by line then up you want them to be in the same access hole I would not recommend this. How do you get to the inner one if you have the outer stem in your way?

They should be 180 degrees apart from one another. So if the stem is at the very bottom on the outside tire the inside tire would be at the very top. I am not sure what the newer rims have for holes in them but you want something close as possible to the 180 degrees apart.

That's exactly what I do. I also rotate them myself at every oil change.

While we're on the subject. Everyone with DRW's need to get a bottle of anti seize. Put just a little on each surface as you stack the wheels on. Not globs, but enough that everything is very lightly coated. A spec on each stud too. One day you may find yourself with rims that no matter what you do they will not break away from each other or the hub. You will have to become very creative to get them free. Sometimes driving with no lug nuts on. That's been done. Not a good idea but you do what you have to do. Just a quick example.
