Maintenance links?

Hey guys this is my first RAM CTD. I'm familiar with doing oil/fuel filter changes on Fords, but I can't seem to find any "how to's" with pics on how to do this on a 2014 2500HD CTD. Usually forums have them stickied but I don't see anything here.

I am specifically looking for the following:

1. Oil filter
2. Fuel filters
3. Water separator drain

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, very easy jobs. Easiest of any vehicle I've owned. Do a search on here, you'll find something.

Yeah it won't be a problem. I'd just like to see some actual pics and get confirmation if there were any changes in model years since I have a 2014. (ie are the locations the same from generation to generation?)

As far as I know the only change was the fuel filter canisters on the 2007.5-2009 6.7s were different. Otherwise, oil filter (& change), fuel filter and WIF drain are basically the same from 2003 until now.

The oil filter can no longer be serviced from below on the 2013 and up 3500's and the 2014 & up 2500's due to the frame enhancements. Some remove the oil filter from the fenderwell, but there's very little clearance between the transmission lines, a/c lines, and wheel well liner. I personally remove the intake ductwork (loosen two screws and remove one clamp) and service the oil filter from above. The filter can be primed and reinstalled much easier this way.

As for the fuel filters, there's two... a rear frame mounted separator and an underhood filter. The frame mounted separator was dealer item only for some time, but is made by Racor. If you search hard enough, you'll find the Racor number. The underhood filter is available thru MOPAR and FleetGuard, and others as well.

Oh boy, I was way off..

Didn't realize the 2013+ had changed...sounds like it wasn't for the better (from a maintenance standpoint).

As far as the oil filter change....it's really a non-issue. Six to eight minutes (perhaps less) and the ductwork is on the bench.
