Want to buy a newer truck was told the 6.7 came with an exhaust brake. What year did this start and do you like it or would you go with a Pac Brake or other?

Thanks

The 6.7L has had a factory exhaust brake (utilizes the variable vanes in the turbocharger) since it was introduced in mid-year 2007. I've owned 2 with it and they work pretty slick.

Had a pacbrake on my 04.5 with the NV5600 and it worked great. I now have an auto with the built in and that coupled with the built in trailer brakes work much better in my opinion. In tow/haul mode the auto tranny works awesome with the exhaust brake. I would buy this truck over and over again. By far the best Dodge I have owned and I've owned every generation and every motor.

Long time no hear. It's going good here how about you? Still in Canada land?

Ended up getting a '12 so I could get the HO motor but before the extra juice tank. So far I love this thing.

I know it! Yes; I am spending entirely too much time in Canada :-(
Glad to hear things are going well there! Remember me if you are looking for anyone....

I have been looking at 2012's as well; I need to sell mine first though; know anyone? I'll take 15k the way it is setup. 12k without the bumper and winch.
Keep in touch!
