How to check engine light codes
First engine light at 187,000 miles. How can check which codes were tripped.
Is there an ignition key trick or do I have to get a reader?
2010, 3500, 6.7, 6 speed manual.

Wow amazing you got that far without a CEL. I made it about 4500ml before I got my first in my 2011, anyway you need a code reader to reset them and the remote start won't work with a CEL on so why not pick one up on sale, I noticed one the other day for $28 Canadian. You can apparently turn the key.. on/off/on/off/on and it will display the codes the same as the old trucks used to.
