EGR and SCR filter questions

Had my 2013 3500 in the dealer to fix ABS sensor issue and CEL, they found a short in wiring from R rear ABS sensor to ABS module. The CEL they checked DEF fluid condition, contamination and DEF injector-all OK. They said it requires a new SCR filter and found EGR Valve "Failed in Range" and EGR Throttle control valve internally shorted. I been having issues with the ABS sensors on this truck for a while, had left front sensor replaced earlier been to dealers in the US and Canada last 3/4 months with various CELs, trucks runs fine, never had any "limp mode" issues no Regen issues. Have had various "low voltage" issues. Each visit to a dealer they have reset the codes and will be good for a day or 2,3 and will get a CEL. After this last trip to the dealer I asked to have the truck "re-flashed" due to the short found in the ABS wiring... it wasn't done. They gave me a estimate of over $5000.00 to replace EGR valve and Throttle control valve...

I guess in short I'm asking if the short in the ABS wiring would cause the "many" different CEL codes in the last 3/4 months? With these new "computers on Wheels" so many systems of the truck are tied into each other, one failure leads to many false CELs!? As each time I have it checked there is always different codes? Thanks ... wish I would have stayed with my 2005

My guess would be the next suggestion you will get it to consider doing deletes. I would suggest looking at the age and condition of your batteries. Older, weak, and poorly connected batteries can create their own strange random problems. Remember that there are two ends to every battery cable so check both ends.
