Spoke with the dealership today. They say the torque converter arrived today and the mechanic is working on it. Will see if they fix my truck. More to come....

I got my truck back last night. I can say it has been so long since I've see my truck it was like I was picking up anew vehicle. Driving the truck home it seemed to have way more torque than before. I have a race in a few weeks that will take me back through the mountains of Tennessee and will be a good test.

Well I towed my raced trailer up in the mountains fully loaded and it felt like it wasn't even there. The gas milage was way better as well. It seems like they have fixed my issues. I was able to pull long hills without harsh downshifts. Just smooth towing.

I have been driving Dodge CTD Pickups since 1992 and looked hard at the new 4th Gen Dodge CTD CR 6.7 2500 Pickups. But one of the reasons I didn't buy one is because of the numerous problems many of my friends have had with their 68RFE transmissions! Now, with your report of the TC failure on an Aisin, that is definitely NOT good news.

Good luck with your repair!

I have an automatic transmission issue too hoping anyone with a DG7 (68RFE) That has been stuck in Limp mode (4th Gear) can help me out.

Its Flashed 2 codes:
P0883 "TCM Power Input High" &
P2509 "ECM/PCM Power signal intermittent
Its making a heck of an electronic noise (like a relay humming right from the Tranny Pan.

So I am assuming it a failed solenoid pack. Taling to local dealers every dealer has a solenoid pack on the shelves and a Govenor Pressure transducer.

Has anybody run into this before?
