Attempting buy back I need advice

Title says it. I have reaches the end of my tolerance. I need my truck for work and it has been unable to pass Massachusetts emissions test. I have another thread explaining what's going on. So I had a real long one sided conversation with my ram satisfaction rep. We came to the agreement that I should try to get a buy back. He said I need to contact the dealer and have them contact the regional rep to get the ball rolling. Since I have had no good legitimate information about the repairs thus far does anyone know if this is what I have to do. Have any of you had a buy back? What kind of valuation should I expect? How long is the process? I am open to any other information. Thank you in advance.

I've been following your thread. What a bummer man. I don't recall the miles...or the year at the moment, but you may want to check into your state's lemon law to see if it applies....especially if they don't treat you right on the buy back. Similar process, but you would probably have to get a lawyer specialized in lemon laws, which you may be able too recoup the lawyer fees during the process.

Yeah i looked into lemon law. unfortunately i am commercial so it does not apply to me. plus i bought the truck over state lines. i talked with a lawyer and they said they couldn't do anything for me as i bought it in ct not mass. So i will await info on the buyback. Oddly enough i just got mail in saying that my dealer is aggressively seeking my truck as there is a shortage of pre owned. the aggressive offer on my 2011 3500 c&c 4x4 is a whopping $19,467. they say this is $3,500 more than kelly bluebook. WOW do these truck hold their value!!!! so a 2 year old truck with 29k on it with a sticker of $45k plus bed is worth $19,467. What a joke. i hope this is not how the buyback goes. yeah this sucks for sure.

It's the fact that it's a cab and chassis that's killing you, there just isn't the resale on them that's why people buy a dually pick up and remove the box then reinstall the box for resale.

Are the frame rails the standard width now on the pickup versions. Because before they were different and nothing fit them. Which is why I went c&c.

I'm pretty sure they are not but if you have a flat deck or service box built you just move it from truck to truck, because my son was thinking of a dually I was recently looking at new flat decks and was surprised how inexpensive they are, he's decided to stay with the SRW in the 2013 3500 as the payload is so much better than the 2012's.

What is the gvw of the 3500 single rear wheel? I've been looking but cannot find any info. I may go that route. We will see.
