Anyone else have a problem with engine hour timer?

Weird issue. I watch the engine clock / timer (until my egt is installed) to let the engine cool for a minute or two. The timer does not display the number four in the last position. Seems to skip it. goes 1 , 2, 3, skip 4, 5 etc. In a few cases, it skipoed all the seconds and only showed the minutes. I'll take in under warranty - may be something else wrong. ANyone else seen this?
