Pulled the Trigger
After about 4 months of research and looking I finally decided to accept an offer a local dealer had on a 5500. It was a special order for a guy, who never picked it up. This truck will replace my 2005 F450 4X4 pickup. It was in the shop way to much for engine problems.
Now it is hurry up and wait. It will take 3-4 weeks for the body to be made and shipped to Phoenix. Then 2 days for the install. It will give me plenty of time to find aluminum wheels and a couple other items I am dreaming about.
When I pick it up it will look pretty close to this:
Body by Warner Bodies
8-foot 9-inch bed. From inside of bed to end-gate.
70-inches or so inside-to-inside
No wheel wells- box is flat
Gooseneck hitch
LineX
Chrome bumper
Peace,
PaverMaster

You now own one on the most manly trucks dodge ever built. Looks Sweet!
Colo River,I feel your pain;been there mine was 3 weeks waiting.
Paver, I got one question what are you planning to haul/tow with that thing? If you are using a a daily driver you will hate it.

It is a work truck. We have a 12 pound trailer we pull from job-to-job. Also, we will put 2 pallets of pavers in the back from time-to-time. It will be replacing a 2005 F450 pickup, which has a GVW of 16K.
Peace,

Made the deal for the truck on 5-05-08. They called today and
said it is ready. Finally! It was a CC 5500 off the lot. The body
took awhile to be fabricated, shipped, and installed, but it is done.
I hope to pick it up sometime this week.
I'll post pics when I get her home.
Peace,
Rex
