delete without software
Want to do the deletes on my 3500 CC but am limited on money output. What will happen if I remove the dpf, egr cooler and egr valve without using a programer. I realize I will have a code.

roger, I have read that thread. The 6.7 delete thread makes reference of not running the truck without a programer after physical delete due to causing problems. Certainly sounds like this guy had no issues 150,000 miles of trouble free use though!

With age comes the cage
Good luck on the project, keep us updated .. Others may still chime in on the subject.
I plan on deleting the 08 when the 36 month warranty runs out later on this year

It can be done, if you fool the right sensors with resistors. I had 30+k on mine with no programer, did have a engine light on but I cleared that with my scan gauge.

We have several 45/55 and have taken the emissions off all of them, unless you want issues when you're trying to run these trucks sometimes 24/hr day in the cold wx you have to replace the hardware with a hot kit. We have the engine light on all the time but we know what it's about and when our mechanic services our trucks he's in the loop. Our MVI guys as well don't fail us on the missing parts, now if we got caught in the roadside inspection then we have them to put back on. But until that time it makes life a whole lot easier.
I belive it cost about 800/truck, worth every penny

When our dealer took the emissions stuff off they said they replaced it with a "hot Kit". This might be some kind of term they use inhouse, but it was something they got from another dealership in order for everything to work properly.
