4500 vs 3500 Cab and Chassis
I plan on replacing my 2000 2500 soon. I know I want a flat bed and will need 4 doors. So is it worth it going the 4500 route? I located several new 2013 already set up. My only hesitation is that they are both tradesman models. IE sort of bare bones, vinyl seats. I have a 24 foot camper and like to bring both my quads or two road bikes. I also plan on a larger trailer in two or three years. Any pros or cons?

With age comes the cage
The 4500/5500 will give you a heavier frame, bigger brakes and a Dana D110 rear end. The 5500 is a bit on the stiff side until you get it loaded.

How big of a trailer are you going to? Do you NEED a 4500? Do you plan to daily drive it?
I want a flat deck as well for carrying quads and towing my trailer so its going to be a 3500 mega cab with a 7ft deck. I need to use the truck as a daily driver so its going to probably be a SRW as well.
