Xzillaraider got wet

I've had the Ezillaraider for aroud three years. Had my water pump changed, and they steam cleaned the engine. When I pulled out of the parking lot my truck died. The tech was not sure why. I told him to unplug the box, he did and reset the codes. Looks like it got wet from the steam cleaning.

So the question is, will the thing be fine after it drys out? Or should I not attempt to pulg it back in. I worry about plugging it back in since it already failed.

BTW my 2004 SO is totally guttless without the box. And my milage looks like its dropped about 2mpg. Man, I forgot what a dog my SO is!

thanks in advance.

Had you read the directions before installing the Quad box you would have seen that it is NOT waterproof and MUST be installed inside the truck under the dash.
You may have killed your box.........

Read the instructions did not care! Not bagging on the product here! Why the condescension? Did not want to spend the time, not even two minute sticking it under my dash!! Was fine for along time.

Your handle makes me wonder if you are associated with the Quadzilla company. If so, guess what I won't be replacing it with. Even though it have been an excellent product for me!!!

The actual question was. Do you think it could be OK after it dries, and should I even attempt to use it.

Thanks in advance!

!!
I knew my post would come off wrong and I almost did not bother saying anything.

I am not associated with them even though our names are kind of similar.

And I did answer your question. I guess you read my reply like you did your install directions...

JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!

I am surprised it lasted as long as it did under the hood with all the road spray....

Can we be friends now?

Let it dry out and try hooking it back up. You will know pretty quickly if you have damaged anything inside the box...

I have never seen or used an Ezillaraider so this may not be possible but, before trying it, I would carefully take it apart and clean the board with a quality electronics cleaner like CRC QD Electronic Cleaner, and let it dry completely.
Some pcb's can fail due to "solder whiskers",caused from minerals in the water, high humidity, etc. Basically solder whiskers are oxidation and or electrolysis of the soldered components that can cause shorts or high resistance paths between the components and traces on the board.
If you can clean the board, this may keep you from having any further problems.

It's just a small plastic box, If I pry it apart it may be done for.

Do you think it could be fouled up to the point that plugging it in could fool me into thinking it's OK then foul my injectors or something. I think it's a fueling module!

I may just buy a new module. Everyone here seems to give smarty jr good marks. But the Xzilleraider is kinda tried and ture for me. I have over 50,000
on that module.

If the box goes bad your truck will run like total crap long before you tear your injectors up. The issue is that now that moisture has gotten inside the box it may be fine for a while but it will most likely start to corrode and die on you in the future. I would consider contacting Qzilla and asking them if you can send it to them for inspection. They could fix or replace it for you if you want to stay with that box..
You really should put it inside the cab though.....

Do you have a dehydrator for making jerky? Worked on my laptop when it got wet.
