The Wood Grain has got to go!

I love everything about my MegaCab, except for the faux wood grain dash. I hate it. I know that some of the sport models have a brushed aluminum dash. Does anyone know of any aftermarket kits/factory kits that I can replace it with?

sports and SRT models have a carbon fibre look, or you could always send the peices to unique auto and have them marbel finish them however combo you wish.

I had it too Changed to all gray. Also changed to the carbon look dash from the SRT-10. Changed radio to double din so I got the Nav. dash - no half moon cutouts on sides of radio. Love it!!!

www.dodgeparts.com

The radio dash will be listed in new products - console bezel will be in OEM parts.

I don't like it either, but I don't intend of keeping the half moons forever. I will be getting a Double DIN within a years time.

rock crawler, can you post some part numbers from Dodge parts? Also, how difficult was the install? I assume you also replaced the wood grain inserst on the doors as well?

Try http://www.trimsrus.com
They might have what your looking for.
I did just the opposite on my 05.
I went from the gray dash to the wood and the above site is where I got the kit.

This is the link for the dash

The other parts you have to look up in the OEM BODY PARTS catalog.

I could not find the door panel pieces. If someone finds these let me know.

Have any problem hooking up your steering wheel controls with your Pioneer Nav?

In my book, the only thing worse that faux wood trim is faux carbon fiber trim. But, unless you spend loads for the real stuff (wood or carbon fiber), the factory items will have to do.

I didn't like the sea of grey in my interior so I swapped out some of the items for the faux wood. The wood grain breaks up the monotony of the grey.

rock crawler, than pioneer deck looks really good in your dash!

They don't make them alone, you have to replace the whole inner door skin to get the CF looking ones...

I did not do that. PAC make a steering wheel control interface that works great. I am just a fan of remotes. Steering wheel controls are too limited.

I agree! I don't like any of the fake stuff , but I just could not handle the FAKE WOOD.

Edited by admin.

On the subject of the trim, I would suggest this as an option as it is what I am doing. I am just taking the faux pieces off and having them painted. For me, I am having them painted to match the exterior, but you could do any number of colors or color combinations. Just a suggestion!
