Windshield Seal

Can someone tell me if the 2004.5 trucks are supposed to have a rubber seal (externally visible) across the top of the windshield? I have rubber seals down both sides but not across the top.

Problem is, everytime it rains I get water dripping out of the center overhead console (tiny hole in the back). I thought is was the cab clearance lights, but I pulled them this weekend and made sure they were sealed with clear RTV. It rained today and I still have the small leak.

The Gen IIIs do not have the trim piece across the top of the windshield. I believe you probably still do have leaky cabmarker lights. For the water to drip out of the overhead I think the source of the leak would have to be higher than the top of the windshield. Welcome to the leaky Gen III club.

Windshield Seal

I had a leak in the center cab light. I had all 5 lights sealed with RTV by the dealer and thought the problem was fixed, no more drips. However, within a month, 2 of the lenses had water drops on the inside and it was not condensation.

I seem to remember someone posting a comment months ago about the 04 - 05 having 2 piece lenses? I have also heard that the 06's use a real rubber gasket now, not the sponge type on the earlier Gen III's.
