Window Visors, In Channel vs Stick On?
I am looking to put a set of window visors on my 04.5 4 door. I live in central Texas and it stays pretty warm in the summer. It doesn't help that I have a black dashboard either. I would like to be able to leave the windows cracked to let the heat out along with having a window shade across the dash. Which is better in channel or stick on? Then the next question would be what a good brand would be? Thanks

I like the stick on shades, but only if they stick to the window trim and not the paint. Plus I think they look better because they follow the shape of the door and window better.

i have in-channels. just keep your windows clean and get the brush/pressure washer in there once in a while and you should be fine. i have had them for a couple years at least and have not had one complaint.
even if you do get some light scratches - big deal . . . no worse than the pitting on windshields . . . depends on where you keep your window when it is partially down i guess (in your line of sight or not). if it's all the way up it doesn't matter, if it's all the way down it doesn't matter . . . .

I can only say that the AVS aka Auto Vent Shades I use have not caused any scratch on my windows and can't answer for any other brand of in channel vent shades.

i'm pretty sure AVS makes them all. mine are weathertechs - when i ordered they were on backorder, but the lady said i could send you AVS ones, only difference is the branding as they are just renamed for different factories/outlets i'm guessing.
as with Lil Dog - i too prefer the cleaner lines of the in-channels as they don't stick out nearly as far as the adhesive types.

I got some in channel ones the other day and I am pretty sure they didn't actually go into the channel that the window slips into when rolled up. I am pretty sure they mounted between the plastic trim that holds the channel in place and the channel itself. I've been up to 85 mph and they are still in place.
