What good do window visors do?

Other than not letting rain in with cracked windows. Do they reduce the wind noise with windows closed and open? Do they help with the buffeting wind without the correct combination of open windows? Do they take too much visibility away?

My door sucks out and is noisy when there are cross winds, does it help with that? My drivers door also has a loose chatter sound at the outside edge. I think I need to move the latch point in a hair to reduce that.

Re: having the window slightly open during a rain storm, I use the window deflectors so I can open the window (max 1.5") without the rain coming in. I'm 6'4" and they do not block my vision.

And the door noise, it may also be your door gasket needs to be adjusted / replaced. It's possible it may help with the cross wind, depending how much the window is open.

I've had them on for awhile and don't recall the comparison (with or without). But I remember after putting them on, they made a difference and I liked the look.

I beleive he is talking about the door window vent visors. I have them but they have been on the truck since 2 days after I purchased it new, my reason for them was leaving the windows down for ventalation when parked and not letting the rain in from a sudden storm. They work well for that purpose. Can't help you out with the wind noise part since mine have always been on the truck.

Epco, do you have the towing mirrors or the smaller ones? The wife has the smaller ones, and the gap/seam at the top makes a lot of noise.

I have the tow mirrors. It gets really annoying with the strong cross winds. The doors opposite of the wind suck out and create the noise. I think it is the design of the top of the doors.

Also, just normal driving from slow in parking lots to 75mph highway the drivers door rattles slightly at the latch end. I have read about people bringing the latch point on the frame in a bit to help that. I was wondering if the visors would help that without having to mess with the latch, as well as the other questions.
