I have the wireless camera from Samsclub. It's mounted on the license plate but I wish it swiveled. I saw an ad for one the other day that did. It sure would make it easy to see the hitch if it did.

If I had the swivel unit I'd probably mount it on the sloped surface of the tailgate protector and route that wiring through the tailgate.

I also have the one from Sams , right now it`s on the lic. plate , but it`s too high to see much. I was planning on taking it apart from the bracket , and mounting it in the rear tailgate spoiler , but I`m not real happy with it...I get a lot of static in the screen , so I don`t really want to cut a hole in the spoiler and not be happy with the camera signal. I wish it was hardwired.

i have the Eclipse cam, mounted to the under side of the bumper, next to the receiver. Makes hooking up the trailer sooooo much easier..
It's also saved a bicycle or two as well...

Night view's pretty good too... the glare is from the garage lights, otherwise it's clear as day.

I have a Audiovox that I picked up at Best Buy. It has a wide angle lens, mounts to the license plate and I can see the hitch ball at all times. The picture is color and very clear.

i'll post a pic soon but in Oregon the license plate only has 6 characters so i drilled a hole right in the middle and mounted the bracket to the tow package cross bar. its the best spot for hooking up cause it puts you right over the center of the hitch and out of the way of any harm.

i've put 52k on it in that location, and yes i have had cops follow and stop right behind me, never been an issue.

This is not my truck but I put mine in the same place. I used to have it on top of the receiver. This works much better. I can still see behind me a ways but best of all the angle lets me back up to a trailer perfectly. I never have to budge the trailer an inch after backing up to it. BTW, I have the Pioneer camera like this one.

I wanted to mount one in place of a rear marker light on my old H2, but never got around to it. I like em up higher like that. How's the view from there? Post up some pictures when you can.

Here is what I did on my truck. I got the camera from www.rvcams.com. I put the monitor in the console and mounted the camera next to the reciever. The camera even works in total darkness, the backup lights make it even brighter. In low light the display is in black & white, but no biggie. Good luck on what you decide, keep in mind you normally get what you paid for. This setup was around $350.
