When to use additives on new truck...
Any problem using fuel additives on a truck that may not be fully broken in yet? (5000 miles very light duty...).
And while I have you, which one does the best at cleaning things out?
Thanks!
DT.

Fuel additives are fine right off the bat. It's the synthetic motor oils to stay away from until your motor is fully broken in to seat the piston rings properly.
My .02 which is based on me asking the same question on this forum when I bought mine back in March of 04'.
don't know which one is best. I've learned as long as it lubricates your pump and keeps your fuel from gelling, your OK. I use the Power Service grey bottle, but thinking about trying Lucas.
You can also do a search on Fuel Additives. my particular Thread is on page 3 at the bottom.
