I have a 2005 2500 and drivers seat needs to be redone. What year seats will bolt in

 

I just did a conversion of my 2004. I got seats from a 2015 crew cab, the fronts bolt right up, the rears you need to cut off a bit of the bracket and adjust the hangers on the back side. Not hard to do though. For the center console, I didn't want to drill a hole in the floor, so I fabbed the front of the drviers seat and used a piece of metal to connect to the console. I love the new seats, as ours are total junk. I wish I did it sooner. The wiring for seat belt is easy along with the power to the console. If you search 4th gen seats to 3rd gen, you'll come up with some nice diy instructions. Overall, a couple of hours of work and its a rewarding job.

 

I have been reading forums for 24 hours now , can't seem to find the answer to this
I have a 3rd Gen 2003 Cummins 3500, looking to replace the seats , I was wondering , what seats will fit on the 2003 Bases ?
That way I get the new seats but don't have to hassle with wiring the new bases to my old harness.

Any help is appreciated

I have seen after market seats advertised that will fit. Sorry, but can't remember where I saw this advertised. Perhaps you can find it with a search?
It may have been Suburban Seats. I modified both front seats in my truck using their air seat base. It was not easy, but works even although it brings the top of my head closer to the roof. My wife loves the mod. The rear seat passengers do not because it cuts down on their foot space.
