I think you named them - Boost, Trans, and EGT. That's what I did. That is a good basic set.

In addition to the Boost, Trans, and EGT, a fuel pressure gauge would be beneficial as well.

And rail pressure.

I have had my ISSPRO's for almost 4 years, I have not had one problem.

Same here, I had my ISSPROs for 5 yrs. I did have to replace the bulb in the boost gauge last week.

I have the ISSPRO EV2's, GREAT gauges, not one problem with them. FP, RP, Boost, EGT are the most needed basics.

If you have an auto tranny, then TTemp might also be high on the list. I have a standard tranny, some would say monitoring it's temp is not necessary, you'd be suprised how warm they get towing, I have a TT gauge also.

low pressure fuel, egt's, rail pressure, and boost. i have a stick so no comment on tranny temp. one thing i will say about EGT's is that i ended up adding a second pyrometer to the front half of my exhaust manifold. i had a #3 injector stick and didn't know because the pyro was in the back of the manifold cyl. 4-6. and the best way to see if you have a problem is to compare 1-3 and 4-6 egts they should be almost the same. ohh and the performax gauges from isspro are by far the best set of gauges i have ever had in anything...

Stay away from Quadzilla. My experience is cheap parts = junk. Throw in poor customer service and you have wasted time and money and intermittently working gauge.

Amen Brother! Check out Edge Juice with Attitude! All the gauges and safety/convenience features built in. I've had mine a couple of years now and love it! You just can't beat the turbo timer, performance tests, defuelers, and awesome HP gains thrown in to boot. Flawless operation and excellent quality. You couldn't pay me to put another Quadzilla unit in my truck....

I'v had Autometer in my street/track car for the last 5 years. Not problems at all.

Speedhut and Isspro also have excellent reputations.

For the Cummins, I use a Bullydog Outlook moniter. It's easy to install, inexpensive, and works pretty good. Only had it a year, but bought it used. Other than the sticker on the front fading from the sun, it's been trouble free.

These types of gauges plug in to the OBDII port. So you get the same information that ECU gets; which has its good points and bad points. As long as you know how to interpret the data, it's fine.
