Went looking for Tires today
So today I went to NTB, looking for some 285/75/17. The guy at NTB tells me that the 285/75 are going to rub and that he is going to have to tweek the torsion bars, even after I told him what kind of truck I had. I researched on this site about tires. So I was pretty set on the 285/75's. He also said to me he knows what he's talking about, he's been doing this for years. He is telling me I should go with the 285/70's or the 305/70's. Needless to say, but I just left. I wanna keep my truck stock, no leveling kit or anything just wanna better looking tire in there. What are some of your guys thoughts on this?
I just had a set of 295 Toyo M/T's put on before I left for work (in Alaska) and they filled out the wheel wells really nicely! Now, I might need a set of small flares and a set of mudflaps to keep all of the rock chips off of the paint.
