Wanted 2wd suspension advice

I went and drove a 2006 2wd on Friday. Can anyone here tell me what is commonly replaced in the suspension and steering? Truck had 170,000 miles.
It's hard to follow what's 2wd and 4wd on the discussion.. unless the ball joints and steering parts are the same.

I see later upgraded mopar parts and a changed Putnam arm talk of 2008.5 upgrade?

A little explanation would be helpful
Michael

It really just depends on what has gone bad and how the truck was driven. I have an 06 4x4 with 216,000 miles and still all stock suspension parts. Ball joints on both 2wd and 4wd seem to be the first things to go.
