ventilation question

Is it me or do the '03 trucks have one more dashboard air vent on the passenger side than the '04? My '04 has four vents in the dash. DC really needs to add some for the rear passengers as well.

I agree. We need floor vents in the quads!

Yeah, they really screwed that one up
There are no vents for the rear passengers. They could atleast put in the same type of overhead system they have in the mini-vans or Durango.
I've got a feeling that they will be adding some very interesting changes inside the QC because more people are buying them for families. Just wait, you will see Rear DVD Systems with rear seat audio. They already have the DVD Navigation system

There are a few of those "little things" that could be optional, or even standard equipment, but considering I'd pay about 10K more for a GM- I have; a truck that doesn't drag the ground, an engine that doesn't leak all over, a machine that starts in cold weather, unreal pulling power.............................................

While I agree with TurboTed to try to look on the bright side of things, the fact there's no a/c vents or heater ducting to the back seats is just pathetic IMO!

I agree also. My brothers GMC quad cab has rear air vents. He has a rear center console also but I like the folding flat storage floor myself better.

Okay I looked in my owners manual on page 184 and it shows 5 air vents on the dashboard. There are 2 of them above the glove box. I thought I saw a picture posted of someones '03 and he had this setup as well. Did they have a design change for the '04 model year or am I missing one? Not a big deal but I am just curious.

Dodge does lack in the creature comforts area. Even the seats between a Ford (captains chairs) and this truck are night and day. The folding gizmo in between the seats is a joke compared to Ford. With a 6 spd how would I ever have someone sit there anyway?? I sorta wish DC Ferd and GM designer guys would all sit down over a beer and design a truck. One with all the fancy stuff, one in between, and a work version. IMO not being able to order heated seats without leather is stupid also.

I like the folding center seat in the Dodge. It's big, has its own 12V power port, and has storage underneath the bottom cushion. I also like the overhead display being standard on SLT. About the only interior creature comfort I wish they would add is the vents in the rear and figure out some better cupholders for those with a manual tranny.

All in all I am pretty **** pleased with my Ram. Sure its not perfect but its meets most all my needs. Not sure about the cupholders on the manual but let me tell you the cupholders on my '99 dakota have me screaming RECall every time I make a turn and my drink goes flying on the floor. HORRIBLE is the best word to describe those things. .
